This download contains 4 personal learning checklists (PLCs)(in 3 files), based on the latest OCR B Religious Studies Short-Course specification (2016 onwards): focussing on the religion of Christianity.
Individual PLCs (for each section of the short-course) can be purchased for £2, this bundle saves you over 50%.
The PLC contains a list of all topics students are needed to know in relation to Christianity: students are asked to indicate their confidence level by shading red/amber/green and giving a confidence score of 1-10.
On the reverse of the sheet are other useful measures that allow teachers to gauge a student’s confidence and reflective abilities.
The Personal Learning Checklist (PLC):
-Encourages students to reflect in a structured manner on revision focusses.
-Allows the student to see clearly what they need to know for the exam.
-Allows the student to communicate to their teacher how they can be best helped.
-Gets the student to analyse their progress in relation to their target grade.
-Gets students to establish both a revision and an exam technique focus.
This is an essential resource for any teacher of OCR B Short-Course Religious Studies (Christianity) and downloading it will save you the tedious and time-consuming task of compiling your own PLCs.

An essential download for any AS/A2 Psychology teacher.
This resource contains 100 debates for A2 Psychology students (also useful for AS preparatory work). It also contains a 'randomiser' slide: when clicked a random sociological debate is presented to the group.
It refers to the issues mentioned in the AQA Psychology specification for the "Issues, debates and Approaches" section. It also refers to broader debates connected to psychology and mental health.
Debate slides ask students to move from one side of the room or the other to make their position clear: teachers should then use questioning to foster a debate between students, encouraging them to present reasons for their choice and defend their position.
Please note: this resource deals with controversial issues, debates and questions that may be deemed unsuitable for younger children. It is designed for secondary school students, but can be easily adapted to younger years with appropriate amendments by their teacher.
Uses include:
-AS/A2 Psychology Classes
-P4C (Philosophy for kids) sessions
-Debating societies
-Making best use of spare time at the end of lessons
-Easy cover lesson setting
-A perfect revision tool for many revision sessions
-Ability to incorporate the resource into essay planning activities (e.g. "You have five minutes to plan an essay on this debate in teams")
Based on the new AQA Sociology specification and mark-schemes. This is a double-sided feedback sheet for AS-Level 20 mark answers (i.e. for Papers 1 & 2)
It can be use for self, peer or teacher assessment and includes target and correction setting. It is designed for 'tick-box' assessing so as to save the teacher time, with additional space for the student or teacher to write specific targets.
As a Word document, it is easily customisable: if your class frequently struggle with one issue you can update the target setting box and it will save you having to write the same targets again and again.
End of term lesson planning made easy! :D
This bundle contains three Christmas quizzes, one for AQA Philosophy classes, one for Sociology classes and one for Religious Studies classes.
They are for students at KS4-5 level.

KS3 RE Units
The following worksheet can be used with any documentary, long video or series of videos,
It can be used in any subject and for any topic.
The purpose is to focus learning whilst students watch a video. It allows students to 'get more out of' video-watching activities and allows teachers to structure discussions as a result.
Whilst watching a documentary or video students add to the following rubrics:
-5 interesting things I saw…
-One big question I would ask…
-The four points to summarise the video(s)…
-Interesting things I heard…
-How I could connect this to other subjects…
-Five ways I can connect this topic to my own life…
-One thing I will definitely remember…
-Interesting facts from the videos…
-Questions I would ask…
A tried and tested tool I have used many times. If you're "just watching a video" at the end of term and want to make it a more meaningful and productive task: this worksheet is for you!

A3 DIRT Worksheet (15+ 5-star ratings!)
KS3 RE Units
This download is for a customisable PowerPoint file that allows you to make your own ‘Philosophy Boxes’ lessons.
Individual ‘Philosophy Boxes’ lessons are sold as PowerPoint Shows and cannot be edited. This download, however, allows you to customise the content to suit your own lessons.
The format/method is copyrighted by the original author (Adam Godwin, 2017) so resources you create are strictly NOT for re-sale.
The aim of Philosophy Boxes is to bring philosophy into every subject at every level: we believe that any subject becomes philosophy when students are asked the right questions and when they think about a topic hard enough and on the deepest (most fundamental) level.
The Philosophy Boxes Method presents students with a set of ‘mystery boxes’, when a student selects one of the boxes they are presented with 1 of 21 discussion/debate activities [that use 1 of 8 different formats].
The presentation has integrated AfL so that teachers can test knowledge at any point in the lesson. There are 10 different AfL slides to choose from.
The design is colourful, animated, fun and engaging: all activities require movement and teachers can decide whether students are expressing their ideas purely verbally or by using post-it notes.
A complete selection of Philosophy Boxes lessons can be found here: https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?&q=philosophy+boxes+godwin86
The Philosophy Boxes Method is a new approach to P4C designed for students in KS1, 2 & 3: it is graphically stimulating, engaging, and fun. This download is also suitable for older students: but the format was designed with younger students in mind.
The topic of this Philosophy Boxes presentation is: “Art, Aesthetics & The Nature of Beauty”
The aim of Philosophy Boxes is to bring philosophy and critical thinking into every subject at every level: we believe that any subject becomes philosophy when students are asked the right questions and when they think about a topic hard enough and on the deepest (most fundamental) level.

The design is colourful, animated, fun and engaging: all activities require movement and teachers can decide whether students are expressing their ideas purely verbally or by using post-it notes.
The nature of the design is that it can be used for short sessions (5-10 minutes) or much longer sessions (up to 2 hours!) - it allows for classroom practitioners to be flexible and adaptable. It can, therefore, be used in lessons or as a tutor-time activity.
The download includes a PowerPoint Show; if you would like an editable PPT presentation so that you can make your own ‘Philosophy Boxes’ presentation you will need to download the template here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-the-philosophy-boxes-method-template-for-creating-your-own-philosophy-boxes-lessons-p4c-p4k-11463227
